Adjust ‘Business Profile’ Settings

Learn how to update your business name, email, billing address, and other essential settings to ensure proper communication and compliance.

Step 1. Access Business Profile Settings:

  • In the platform, navigate to Settings.
  • Select Business Profile.

Step 2. Update Friendly Business Name:

  • Enter your full name in the Friendly Business Name field to use for signing off emails.
  • If you prefer using your business name, enter it instead.

Step 3. Set Business Email:

  • Enter the email address you want emails to be sent from (e.g., george@gmail.com).

Step 4. Add Billing Address:

  • Fill in your street address, city, and postcode.
  • This address will be included in your emails for legal compliance.

Step 5. Set Country and Currency:

  • Select the country to determine the currency displayed on your dashboards.
  • Note: Changing the country might update the currency; adjust accordingly.

Step 6. Set Timezone:

  • Choose the timezone for your account.
  • Ensure it's correct to avoid scheduling issues.

Step 7. Configure Duplicate Settings:

  • Allow Duplicate Opportunity: Leave this off to prevent duplicate contacts.
  • Disable Contact Timezone: Leave this off to ensure contacts see booking pages in their timezone.
  • Mark Emails as Invalid Due to Hard Bounce: Leave this off to maintain email deliverability.
  • Validate Phone Numbers When First SMS is Sent: Leave this off as the system handles it.
  • Verify Email Address When First Email is Sent: Leave this off as the system handles it.

Step 8. Add SMS Compliance Messages:

  • Mark SMS Compliant by Adding an Opt-Out Message: Leave this on to allow recipients to unsubscribe.
  • Make SMS Compliant by Adding Sender Information: Customize with your name (e.g., "Thanks, [Your Name]").
  • Make Email Compliant by Adding an Unsubscribe Link: Leave this on for email compliance.

Step 9. Avoid Duplicate Contacts:

  • Ensure the system finds existing contacts based on email and phone number to prevent duplicates.

Step 10. Enable Automatic Replies for Missed Calls:

  • Set up an automatic text reply for missed calls (e.g., "Hi, this is [Location Name]. We missed your call. How can we help you?").

Step 11. Save Changes:

  • After making any adjustments, click Save or Update to apply the changes.
